Over the past 20 years, Anders Østergaard, has evolved from a start-up founder to establishing a comprehensive and highly value-based business portfolio earning him the recognition as EY Entrepreneur of the Year in Denmark.
Anders Østergaard is Founder and CEO of Endeavour Invest, a private holding group that originated in trading and shipping and has since expanded to span a range of industries interconnecting business and people.
Anders Østergaard’s career in maritime trade and shipping kicked off following his graduation from the International Business Academy in Kolding, Denmark. Starting his professional career with the USTC group in Denmark, Anders quickly moved on to co-found Monjasa in Denmark in 2002, commencing marine fuels trading and acquiring the first supply ship in short order.
Over the coming years, Monjasa expanded operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the Americas and Asia to become a global top 10 marine fuels supplier. Anders Østergaard has helmed Monjasa through this period of remarkable evolution by developing a rare and highly value-based organisational culture able to observe and navigate any waters.
In acknowledgement, Ernst & Young elected Monjasa and Anders Østergaard as national “Entrepreneur of the Year’ in Denmark in 2012.
Since 2015, Anders Østergaard has lived in Dubai with his family, but he remains deeply rooted in his hometown of Fredericia, where he is actively involved in community development and cultural activities. Besides his capacity as Endeavour Invest CEO, Anders Østergaard serves as Board Member and CEO in the Monjasa Group as well as Secretary General and Board Member in the Emirates Shipping Association.
